Meet Sunday Times Bestseller Author Joanna Cannon
Thursday 17th August at Doncaster Central Library
Doors open 6.30pm for 7.00pm start
Joanna's debut novel, The Trouble with Sheep and Goays, grew from a blog and was published in January 2016, it rocketed up the Sunday Times bestseller list to reach number 3 in just two weeks!
Following a string of jobs after leaving school at 15, she went back to college and qualified as a doctor, which is when she started writing a blog at the end of days in A&E and palliative care. The blog then led to a novel when she went on to specialise in psychiatry.
Joanna says “I wrote Goats and Sheep because I believe there is a little unbelonging in all of us… I hope it will remind us that we should always ask questions of ourselves…that it might help us to be a little kinder to those who stand at the edge of the dancefloor.”
Booking is essential and Tickets are £3.00, £1 refreshments will be available at the event. To book your ticket visit Doncaster Central Library. For more information please call 01302 734314 or eMail email@example.com
