About our service
The Mobile Library and Travelling Library provide library facilities to Doncaster residents who live more than two miles from a library.
The Travelling Library visits mainly rural communities, often stopping for short visits at individual farms and houses.
The Mobile Library visits mainly urban locations, generally stopping for longer visits.
The vehicles also visit nurseries, children's centres, industrial estates, nursing and residential homes and adult education centres.
The vehicle is easily accessible for people of all ages. It has a lift that can accommodate wheelchair users and those with mobility problems.
There is a wide range of materials to loan, including fiction and non-fiction collections for adults and children, large print, paperbacks - free of charge. Spoken word recordings and DVDs are also available to rent for a small charge.
Library membership is free to everyone. To find out how you can join, please visit the Joining the library page.
