Closure of Central Library

On Friday 27th November, Doncaster Central Library will close its doors to customers for the last time to allow staff to start relocating stock over to the new Danum Gallery, Library and Museum, due to open in 2021.

Library members will still be able to loan books and spoken-word items from several of our branch and community libraries. Details of which libraries are currently open, the services on offer, and their opening hours can be found on our Branch Libraries  page

We recognise that not all our customers are able to visit an alternative library to Central Library in person. As a temporary measure, anyone requiring books and unable to access a library can request a delivery from the Home Library service . Please phone 01302 734304 for further details.

All Doncaster library members have free access to eBooks and eAudio via OverDrive  and Borrowbox , music downloads and streaming from Freegal,  and our fantastic new service form RBdigital  which gives access to a wide range of eMagazines, eComics, and digital newspapers. Visit our A - Z of Online eResources page  for all our free digital services.

If you are not already a member of Doncaster Libraries and wish to join then please fill in the online membership form .
