This service is for new members only. Please do not fill in the form above if you already have a library membership card. Children under 16 will need parental permission to join.

By joining online you will receive a temporary membership number that you can start using straight away  with some of our online services such as:
 - Requesting items to pick up later
 - Borrowing eBooks & eAudio books instantly from BorrowBox. 
 

You will be asked to create a PIN which will allow access to online content. Your PIN needs to be 4 numbers of your choice. 

Please make a note of the membership number that is generated.

You can bring this number with you to borrow two books, one audio item, and one DVD from your local library.

The temporary online membership will last for 3 months. For full membership and to access the computers in libraries you will need to visit your local library and convert the temporary membership into a full membership to receive a library card. You will then have access to additional services from home using your library card number and pin:
- Music downloads
- Our online services from Oxford University Press

Also, access to these services whilst you are in a library:
- Ancestry 
- Find my past
- Access to Research
- Up to 20 books, 6 DVDs 8 audio items
 

You will need to provide some personal identification to convert to full membership such as Driving Licence, Utility bill, Official letter
