Summer 2022 is here and we have lots going on in our libraries! Listed below are the activities happening at:

Summer Activities - Central Children's Library
Timetable of Activities for the Summer holidays in the Central Children’s Library
No need to book just drop in to Central Library and join in!
Activities aimed at ages 4-12 but all ages welcome
Mon 1st August 11am-2pm | Traditional Tale Week Use the bricks to build a bridge for the Billy Goats Gruff or a tower/ castle for Rapunzel or the Giant! |
Wed 3rd August 9:30-2pm | Traditional Tale Week Make traditional tale character stick puppets. |
Fri 5th August 10am-2pm | Traditional Tale Week Use the cut out templates to create a traditional tale character. |
Mon 8th August 11am-2pm | Animal Stories/ information books Build your own lego animal. |
Wed 10th August 9:30-2pm | Animal Stories/ information books Design your own pet. |
Fri 12th August 10am-2pm | Animal Stories/ information books Make a paper plate spiral snake |
Mon 15th August 11am-2pm | Handa’s Surprise Use the lego bricks to make different fruits or their name |
Wed 17th August 9:30-2pm | Handa’s Surprise Design a healthy meal on a paper plate. |

Summer Activity - Edlington, Mexborough and Thorne Library
Become a History Detective!
Can you handle the objects and look for clues? A fun interactive session for children/young people aged 7+ who are interested in how we find out about our past.
